We had a wonderful time at Paula’s place. Since we arrived by public transport, Paula and her neighbour picked us up from Ericeira. The apartment was very spacious, light and clean. The place is a bit isolated and there is no big supermarket close by (only a little corner store). However, Paula drove us to a supermarket, where we could buy all the groceries. Although, the drive from Ericeira to the apartment seemed quite long, it is in fact only 4 km, if you walk along the beach. So you don’t really need a car to get around. There are also buses going to Ericeira, Sintra and Mafra a few times a day.
The apartment is very close to the sea. It’s 500 meters to the Sao Juliao beach and around 900 meters to Lizandro beach. Both beaches are quite good for surfing as well.
Paula and her family were very kind and helpful. We felt very welcome and especially enjoyed the common breakfasts and the family BBQ.
We can definitely recommond this place and would love to come back one day.
